Presidents of Kazakhstan and Nigeria Ready to Further Cooperation

President of Kazakhstan Kassym Generous Tokayev and President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed their determination to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The leaders plan to take new steps to implement joint projects in various fields, including energy, agriculture, trade and education.

During the meeting in Astana, the leaders of both countries emphasized the need to develop cultural ties as well as economic relations. President Tokayev noted Nigeria’s leading position on the African continent, while Nigerian President Tinubu praised Kazakhstan’s rising role in Central Asia. Potential areas of cooperation between the two countries include renewable energy, infrastructure projects and technology transfer. They also focused on launching student exchange programs in the field of education and increasing academic cooperation. In a joint statement issued after the talks, Kazakhstan and Nigeria expressed readiness to cooperate in promoting common goals in the international arena. This new cooperation framework is expected to contribute to the economic growth of the two countries and strengthen friendly relations between the peoples.
