President Sadyr Japarov received Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov as part of his official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan, President Sadyr Japarov said.
The last years were a breakthrough in history of bilateral relations: two visits at top level were organized in 2022, all issues hindering development of cooperation between two countries were resolved, he said.
The President praised the established level of strategic partnership, creation of the interstate council, establishment of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, signed agreement on construction of a 5-star hotel at Lake Issyk-Kul by Azerbaijan.
Foreign Minister Bayramov said the talks held with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev were successful. The Foreign Ministers discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, preparation for the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), current situation in the region.
Foreign Minister Bayramov invited President Sadyr Japarov to attend this event in Azerbaijan this year on behalf of President Ilkham Aliyev.
The parties noted the measures adopted by two countries in expansion of cooperation. Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund was called an effective platform, through which priority projects are planned in different spheres.
