The official ceremony of meeting of President Sadyr Japarov and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held on July 18 in Tashkent, the Presidential Administration’s press service reported.
President Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Kuksaroy Presidential Palace.
The leaders of the countries rose to a special podium. The national anthems of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan were played.
The commander of the honor guard unit gave a report, after which Sadyr Japarov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev walked around the formation and greeted the guard soldiers and paid tribute to the national flag of Uzbekistan.
The heads of state then introduced members of their official delegations. A photographing ceremony took place against the backdrop of the national flags of the two countries then.
Upon completion of the official meeting ceremony, Sadyr Japarov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev proceeded to the room for negotiations in restricted attendance.
