The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Tajikistan Makoto Takaoka presented his credentials at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin received Ambassador Takaoka in his office and held talks on strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the meeting, issues of enhancing economic, cultural and political cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan were discussed. Minister Muhriddin expressed his satisfaction with Japan’s support to Tajikistan and emphasized its contributions, especially in infrastructure and humanitarian aid projects. Ambassador Takaoka stated that Japan aims to further develop its friendly relations with Tajikistan. During the ceremony, it was stated that the diplomatic ties between the two countries have been going on for more than 30 years and these relations will deepen even more in the future.
