Names of some people included in NAP’s list of MP candidates revealed, name of Parliament’s former chair is not on the list

Former Chair of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov’s name was not on the list of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) candidates for parliamentary elections, APA reports.

Speaker of the VI convocation of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, First Deputy Speaker Ali Huseynli, Chair of the Parliament’s Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee Ziyafat Asgarov, and Chair of the Committee for Regional Affairs Siyavush Novruzov have been re-nominated.

Additionally, one of the new candidates on the list is Vugar Rahimzada, Editor-in-Chief of the “Iki Sahil” newspaper and Chair of the NAP Khatai district organization.

His candidacy has been put forward from one of the electoral districts in Nakhchivan.
