Mongolian Foreign Minister pays courtesy call on Japanese Prime Minister

Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh paid a courtesy call on Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. During the visit, the two countries discussed bilateral relations and regional cooperation opportunities, as well as economic, political and cultural cooperation.

During the visit, the Mongolian Foreign Minister emphasized the need to strengthen existing relations between the two countries and explore new areas of cooperation. Increasing cooperation, especially in trade, investment, education and cultural exchanges, would be beneficial for both countries. The Japanese Prime Minister, in turn, expressed great importance to the development of relations with Mongolia and expressed readiness to work on new agreements and protocols that can be signed between the two countries. During the meeting, issues such as establishing direct trade links between the two countries and promoting mutual investments were also discussed. The two sides agreed that these steps would strengthen both economic and diplomatic relations.
