Mongolian Foreign Minister Discusses Cooperation with Oman Investment Authority

Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg met with Oman Investment Authority (OIA) officials and discussed economic cooperation and investment opportunities between the two countries.

During the meeting, issues such as improving Mongolia’s investment environment, implementing joint projects, especially in sectors such as mining, infrastructure, energy and agriculture, and strengthening trade relations were discussed. Foreign Minister Battsetseg stated that Mongolia is an attractive destination for investors with its rich natural resources and growing economy and welcomed the participation of the Oman Investment Authority in investment projects in the country. “We want to further develop our relations with Oman in the economic and trade fields. The experience and resources of the Oman Investment Authority can make a significant contribution to Mongolia’s development goals.” Oman Investment Authority officials, on the other hand, stated that they are ready to evaluate the opportunities offered by Mongolia and expressed their interest especially in mining and infrastructure projects. OIA emphasized that Mongolia’s strategic location and natural resources have great potential for regional and global investments.

During the talks, it was also agreed to sign investment agreements between the two countries and take steps to increase trade volume. The two sides will start working to further strengthen cooperation mechanisms in the coming period.
