Mongolia to produce drones using South Korean technologies

The National Association of Drone Developers of Mongolia and the Association for Unmanned Vehicles of the Republic of Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Montsame reported.

The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications expressed its support for creating a legal and regulatory environment related to drones in Mongolia, the exchange of information in this area, and policy support for the exchange of drone technology, know-how, and related information.

Moreover, the Blue Sky Drone and Sundori Drone companies agreed to establish a memorandum of understanding to introduce South Korean technology to manufacture and develop drones in Mongolia.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications Baatarkhuu Tsend noted that the Ministry plans to enhance drone development, creating a legal environment, and establishing a special drone zone. Specifically, it intends to submit the draft Law on Drones during the spring session of the Parliament, train drone operators, and introduce drones in agriculture, environmental protection, and delivery. The Memorandum of Understanding signed today opens a new chapter in the technology sector, emphasized the Minister.
