Mongolia plans to open an embassy in Uzbekistan

Mongolian authorities plan to open an embassy in Tashkent in the near future.

The relevant project has already been presented to the Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav. The staff of the diplomatic mission will consist of three employees. The costs of maintaining the embassy are included in the budget for 2024.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Uzbekistan currently represents one of the largest markets in the Central Asian region. In addition, the country has managed to take a leading position in the development of such sectors as light industry and agriculture. The bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Mongolia reached $ 2022 million in 10,4.

The Mongolian government plans to sign a memorandum on developing cooperation with the Uzbek side in the near future.
