Mongolia and Uzbekistan to develop cooperation on digital governance

Mongolia and Uzbekistan will cooperate in digital governance and information technology.

State Secretary of Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia Battsetseg Bataa received a delegation headed by First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos on June 19.

The parties exchanged views on opportunities to develop cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan in digital governance and information technology at the meeting.

First Deputy Minister Oleg Pekos commended the Mongolian government’s e-transition policy and activities, highlighting the concrete results achieved in a short timeframe. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with Mongolia to support information technology startups in the two countries and exchange experiences to develop the e-economy in the future.

Following their discussions, the two sides agreed to cooperate on the issues discussed at the meeting.
