Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Plan to Expand Investment and Transportation Cooperation

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan signed a new agreement aimed at expanding cooperation in the fields of investment and transportation. During the talks between the two countries, the issues of further strengthening economic relations and increasing regional connections were discussed.

During the meeting with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, steps to increase the volume of trade between the two countries were discussed. The modernization of transport corridors and facilitation of cross-border trade were also discussed. Kazakhstan officials emphasized that economic and trade relations with Kyrgyzstan are of strategic importance for both countries. The Kyrgyz side, in turn, expressed readiness to cooperate, especially in the development of transport infrastructure and the assessment of new investment opportunities. The agreement signed between the two countries aims to strengthen regional integration and accelerate economic development through joint projects. In this context, work will be carried out especially in areas such as improving railway and highway connections, energy projects and cooperation in the agricultural sector.
