US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu met in Bishkek with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, today.
“During my fırst meeting with Kulubaev, we agreed to work together to ensure security and stability in Central Asia and improve the investment climate in Kyrgyzstan,” says Lu in his tweet.
In turn, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the dialogue, the parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-American relations, as well as regional and global agendas.
At the end of the conversation, the parties reaffirmed their mutual intention to continue a constructive dialogue on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.
The American delegation led by Donald Lu will be in Central Asia from May 23 to 27. In addition to Kyrgyzstan, American politicians intend to visit Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
