NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte Visits Turkey

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will pay an official visit to Turkey on May 13. During the visit, Rutte will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara. According to the NATO Press Service, the visit is part of the preparations for the Informal Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Antalya on May 14-15. During Secretary General Rutte’s visit to Turkey, he is expected to discuss the agenda of the meeting as well as regional security issues and Turkey-NATO relations. It is stated that the visit is important in terms of reinforcing cooperation within the alliance and strengthening strategic dialogue.
