South Korea preparing new sanctions against North Korea

After the launch of a ballistic missile from North Korea, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol gave instructions to impose sanctions against North Korea, Report informs with reference to foreign media.

“President Yoon Suk-yeol has ordered the joint defense readiness of South Korea and the United States to be strengthened, and the extensive plan to contain North Korea, negotiated between South Korea and the United States, to be actively implemented,” the president’s office said in a statement.

On November 18, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced the alleged fall of a North Korean ballistic missile near the island of Hokkaido. This is the sixth ballistic missile launch in November and the 34th missile launch this year, if cruise missile launches are also taken into account.
