47 special commissions to be established at diplomatic missions of Mongolia

47 special commissions will be established at diplomatic missions of Mongolia abroad for citizens who will vote early in parliamentary elections, the Central Election Commission announced on Monday.

“The creation of special commissions will allow Mongolian citizens living abroad to register and vote in the next parliamentary elections in Mongolia,” the official statement said.

Parliamentary elections will be held in Mongolia on June 28. Citizens will have to elect 126 members to the Parliament. 78 MPs will be elected under the majoritarian electoral system, and 48 under the proportional system.

A total of 23 political parties and two coalitions have registered with the Central Election Commission to participate in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
