Working groups of Uzbek-Turkmen demarcation commission meet in Nukus

A meeting of the working groups of the Uzbek-Turkmen demarcation commission took place in Nukus on April 1-7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The sides continued to work on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Turkmen border during the meeting. They discussed preparation for a joint session of the intergovernmental commission on demarcation of the state border between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

A corresponding protocol was signed following the event.

The next meeting will take place on the territory of Turkmenistan.
