Wait times between trains on Tashkent subway to be reduced

As of the start of academic year (from September 4), the Tashkent subway will reduce the wait time  bewteen trains during peak hours, UzA said referring to the press service of the subway.

Train wait time On the Chilanzar line will be reduced to 1.5 minutes, on the Uzbekistan line – down to 3-3.5 minutes, on the Yunusabad line – down to 5 minutes. 

The subway’s leadership said that this would be achieved through “the maximum use of available internal resources.” 

Also from September 4, the start time of classes at 31 universities in Tashkent, near subway stations, will also change. The new schedule was approved in order to reduce the congestion of the subway during peak hours.
