Uzbekistan’s permanent population tops 36.37 million as of July 1

Uzbekistan’s permanent population totaled 36,372.3 thousand as of July 1 of this year, the Statistics Agency said in a report.

Reportedly, compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 2.2%. Where, 18 million 557.5 thousand people live in cities, 17 million 815.8 thousand live in rural areas.

The number of men is 18 million 306.3 thousand, and women – 18 million 66 thousand.

As of April 1, the permanent population of Uzbekistan stood at 36,197,781 people.
