Uzbekistan to host meeting of ECO Foreign Ministers’ Council

Tashkent will host a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Economic Cooperation Organization chaired by Uzbekistan from January 23 to January 24, APA reports citing UzA.

In addition to representatives of the country, delegations from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Türkiye, as well as ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri will take part in the event, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan says.

The Economic Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental regional structure established in 1985 to promote economic, technical and cultural cooperation between the countries of the region. The main areas of cooperation are trade, transport and communications, energy, tourism, agriculture and industry.
