Tajik General Prosecutor meets with the Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center

On 2nd August 2021 in Vienna the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon has met Tuula Yrjölä, the Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center.

During the meeting, the parties have discussed the current state of interaction of the Republic of Tajikistan with the OSCE within the framework of the political-military and humanitarian dimensions, including the process of implementation of relevant OSCE programs and projects in Tajikistan, as well as the issues of cooperation of the parties in the implementation of the Strategy on Countering Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025.

The parties have also exchanged views on the current situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its possible impact to the security situation in Central Asian countries and beyond, as well as issues related to the participation of the civil society organizations in the OSCE events. In addition, the parties have discussed the role of the OSCE assistance in capacity-building of prosecution authorities and other issues of common interest.
