Samarkand will host the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
A meeting was held with the Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Kazuhiko Koguchi, who visited Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the preparations for this international event, UzA reports.
A Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed in Samarkand. It is expected that almost two thousand guests from all over the world will attend the annual EBRD Meeting, including 73 heads of banks, heads of ministries and agencies, and representatives of various companies. Along with attracting foreign investment to Uzbekistan, this will create an opportunity to once again widely demonstrate the tourism potential of the country.
The guests who will visit Uzbekistan can get acquainted with the best examples of intangible cultural heritage, attractive tourism potential, gastronomy, handicrafts and folk art of the country.
The EBRD Secretary General noted that a special page will be opened on the EBRD website to promote this prestigious conference on a global scale.
All the issues that will be discussed within the framework of this international event will serve to strengthen cooperation, increase the economic potential of Uzbekistan and further enhance its image in the world.
