Presidential inauguration to take place on July 14

Inauguration of the President of Uzbekistan will take place on July 14 at a joint session of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate, the two chambers of the parliament said in a joint statement.

At the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who was re-elected president in the snap elections on July 9, will take an oath of allegiance to the people of Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the election with 87.05% of the votes. Robakhon Makhmudova got 4.43%, Ulugbek Inoyatov – 4.02%, Abdushukur Khamzaev – 3.74%.
