According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan news, on December 18, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin during his official visit to the Republic of India met with the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Dr. Subrahmaniyam Jaishankar.
During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers discussed the issues of the development of bilateral relations and stressed the need to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and India in various fields. The sides also exchanged views on the expansion and strengthening of trade and economic ties, investment, scientific and technical collaboration, cooperation in industry, energy, culture, and education spheres.
The parties also discussed other issues related to the deepening of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and India in the framework of international and regional organizations, as well as the security situation in the region.
At the end of the meeting, the Program of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of External Affairs of India for 2021-2024 and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Center for Professional Development and Retraining of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Sushma Swaraj Insitute of Foreign Service of India were signed.
