New Uzbekistan’s youth policy of the is in the focus of the UNGA 77th Session

Speaking at the event, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov noted that it is the youth who should play a key role in the processes directly related to their fate and future.

The head of Uzbek delegation presented the information about country’s progress in the comprehensive support of the younger generation, the realization of its intellectual and creative capabilities. In particular, Vladimir Norov stressed that over the past 5 years, enrollment in higher education has increased from 9% to 29%, and children with preschool education – from 27% to 67.2%.

Minister declared that Uzbekistan plans to convene the first meeting of the Youth Council of the countries of Central and South Asia in 2023, which will become a platform for new ideas and specific initiatives.

The Ministers of Education of the UN member States are invited World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education, held on 14-16 November 2022, in Tashkent jointly with the UNESCO. The Forum will facilitate the exchange of best practices to ensure universal, equitable, and quality education.
