Eurasian Development Bank is Considering Projects Worth $3.5 Billion in Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Development Bank Nikolay Podguzov and discussed potential projects that the bank plans to implement in the country for 2024. Details were reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader on the Telegram channel.

The President of the Eurasian Development Bank told Tokayev that the bank’s annual investment volume in 2022-2023 reached $ 4.2 billion, and Kazakh projects accounted for 59 per cent of the bank’s portfolio by the end of 2023.

Tokayev and Podguzov also reviewed potential projects in Kazakhstan that may be of interest to the bank. It was stated that the amount of these projects exceeds $ 3.5 billion and these investments are planned to be made in strategically important sectors of Kazakhstan.

The representative of the Eurasian Development Bank named transport infrastructure, thermal energy, agro-industrial complex and renewable energy.
