The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia met with the Permanent Representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and exchanged views on the country’s economic development and investment projects. During the meeting, Mongolia’s sustainable development goals and EBRD’s contribution to this process were discussed.
EBRD Permanent Representative emphasized the economic potential of Mongolia and expressed the bank’s determination to continue its investment projects in the country. It is aimed to increase cooperation especially in infrastructure, energy and private sector projects. It is also planned to carry out joint work in the fields of green economy and digital transformation. The Deputy Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament expressed his satisfaction with the support provided by the EBRD to the country’s development process. Stating that the investments made have made significant contributions to Mongolia’s economic growth, he expressed his expectations for strengthening cooperation in the future. During the meeting, Mongolia’s economic reforms and the steps taken to improve the investment climate were also evaluated. The EBRD’s technical and financial support aims to help the country achieve its economic diversification and stabilization goals. This meeting is considered as an important step in further strengthening the cooperation between Mongolia and EBRD and realizing new projects for the country’s development process.
