Consultative Meeting of Central Asian leaders to be held in Issyk-Kul

Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast will host on July 20-21 a Consultative Meeting of Central Asian heads of state, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Muratbek Azymbakiev said.

The meeting will be attended by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedow, Uzbekistan – Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“The leaders of the countries will exchange views on strengthening cooperation among Central Asian states to jointly respond to challenges and threats to regional security, discuss prospects for expanding cooperation to ensure sustainable economic growth of the region’s states, and further strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation among Central Asian states,” Azymbakiev noted.

During the regular Consultative Meeting of Central Asian leaders, it is planned to sign documents, aimed at strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation between the countries of the region.

In addition, Sadyr Zhaparov will hold bilateral meetings with some of the leaders.
