As a result of the work carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic the ceremonial handover of the humanitarian aid in the form of medical supplies and personal protective equipment total of $500,000 from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took place on 13 July 2021. 

The humanitarian aid is aimed for organization and conduct of preventive measures in order to combat the spread of pandemic Covid-19.

The event took place with the participation of Mrs. Zh.Bakashova, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. A.Artykbaev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Zh.Rakhmatullaev, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and Mr. I.Al-Radi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic.

In her speech Mrs. Zh.Bakashova expressed gratitude to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and noted that this aid was most timely and would make feasible contribution to the efforts taken by the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic to combat the ongoing pandemic.
