“I was presented with the results of a survey on the return of IDPs to their homeland. The percentage of those who want to return to their ancestral homeland is very high,” said Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Center for International Relations Analysis at a conference on “Women, Peace, and security: the role of women in post-conflict reconstruction” jointly organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the UN Office in Azerbaijan.
Shafiyev said the women account for the majority of IDPs who want to return home.
