Azerbaijan actively participates in the activities of the CIS in both the economic and humanitarian spheres, General Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Sergey Lebedev said.
He expressed gratitude to both the leadership of Azerbaijan and relevant structures, ministries and institutions for their active participation in the work of the commonwealth.
“Under the representation of First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, Azerbaijan is a dynamic participant in the Commonwealth’s endeavors, contributing significantly to both economic and humanitarian domains. At the beginning of May, an important forum will be held in Baku and a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee will attend the forum”, Lebedev said.
He also emphasized that the meeting of CIS Information Council will be held in Baku.
