Azerbaijani PM Asadov meets with President of Senate of Malaysian Parliament

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with Datuk Mutang Tagal, President of the Senate of the Malaysian Parliament.

During the meeting, PM Ali Asadov emphasized the importance of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held in Baku, and hailed the participation of the President of the Senate of the Malaysian Parliament in the event.

The sides praised the successful development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia. They also commended the close cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The two also hailed the current level of Azerbaijan-Malaysia inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The discussions revolved around the prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, investment, energy, humanitarian and other spheres.
