Armen Sarkissian writes his letter of resignation from abroad

Before submitting his resignation, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian was on a short vacation during which he underwent a medical examination abroad, APA reports citing NEWS.am.

According to the Public Relations Department of the President’s Office, Sarkissian’s undergoing a medical examination abroad is due to the fact that he overcame a serious illness some years ago thanks to his treatment courses abroad, and ever since then he is under the constant supervision of a group of doctors who are well aware of his medical history.

“According to their instructions, President Sarkissian regularly undergoes specialized medical examinations as needed,” the Public Relations Department of the President’s Office added.

Although the aforesaid department does not say where the President submitted his letter of resignation, it is clear from the response that he wrote it from abroad.
