Cabinet Chairman Japarov, Hungarian PM Orban discuss bilateral cooperation

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during his working visit to Hungary, the Cabinet’s press service reported.

The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, prospects of development of cooperation in the spirit of friendship and partnership.Akylbek Japarov noted that “Kyrgyzstan has always attached and will attach special importance to strengthening political dialogue and comprehensive cooperation with Hungary, which is an important partner of Kyrgyzstan in the European Union.”

He highly valued the high-level mutual visits, in particular the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to Hungary in 2023, noting that this was an important step in strengthening the political dialogue.

The Cabinet Chairman also expressed gratitude to Hungary for cooperation at various international venues, including within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.

At the end of the meeting, Akylbek Japarov shared his impressions of the visit to the BMW car factory and the Hortobágy Angus meat farm in Debrecen, highly regarding Hungary’s achievements in the automotive industry and agriculture.

In turn, Viktor Orban expressed readiness for further development of Hungarian-Kyrgyz multifaceted relations.

In addition, the parties discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts at the highest and high levels.
