Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov endorsed the conclusion of the Cabinet to the agreement on deepening and enhancing allied relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was signed on April 19, 2024 in Astana.
The conclusion was forwarded to the Parliament.
The main objective of the agreement is to further strengthen the Kyrgyz-Kazakh good-neighborly and partner relations in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership. The agreement supplements the Treaty of Eternal Friendship of April 8, 1997 and the Treaty of Allied Relations of December 25, 2003, and also opens up new opportunities for the further development of bilateral cooperation. The signed agreement will give additional impetus to the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation in the political, military and technical, economic, investment, transit, transport, hydropower, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
“Strengthening allied relations and strategic partnership, developing mutually beneficial multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan correspond to the long-term national interests of our republic,” the Cabinet of Ministers said in its conclusion.
