Bulgarian pro and anti-government protesters gather outside parliament

Dozens of pro-government and anti-government protesters supporting different political parties gathered on Tuesday, outside the Bulgarian parliament as lawmakers had a session on the government’s economy and finance policy.

More than 10 different rallies were held outside the parliament during long hours of the session.

Police took extensive security measures.

Last week, the opposition also filed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Kiril Petkov’s government, with voting set to take place this week.
