Thousands protest in Greece against government

Thousands of Greek civil servants and students took to the streets of Thessaloniki to protest against the government ahead of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ speech in Vellideio, as part of the opening of the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair.

Trade unions and the SYRIZA bloc, as well as OKDE (Organisation of Internationalist Communists of Greece) members, pensioners had earlier gathered at the Statue of Venizelos, and marched to the Chanth square, chanting anti-government slogans.
