As of this Monday, Serbian citizens that want to enter Kosovo will have to apply for an ‘entry/exit document’.

This means that simply entering Kosovo with documents issued by their local authorities, will no longer be possible.

“Based on a government decision made during today’s meeting, let us remind you that starting from August 1, 2022, each person that arrives at the border crossing of the Republic of Kosovo with identification documents issued by Serbian authorities will have to acquire an Entry/Exit document,’ – the notice says.

Kosovo is rendering documents issued by Serbian authorities invalid within its territories, as a measure of reciprocity, due to the fact that Serbia doesn’t recognize Kosovo’s identification documents either.
