Azerbaijan and Venezuela discussed cooperation on multilateral platforms

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ceyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Venezuela Yván Gil Pinto on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

During the meeting, the current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Venezuela was discussed, Trend reported, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. Development opportunities in the fields of economy, trade and energy security, as well as joint work on bilateral and multilateral platforms and regional and international security issues of mutual interest were discussed. The sides reaffirmed the strong political ties and mutual respect that characterize relations between Azerbaijan and Venezuela. They expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation through high-level political dialogue and exchange of visits. The ministers discussed potential opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, energy and tourism. They also discussed possible initiatives in the field of science and culture, including academic and professional exchange programs. They expressed satisfaction with the cooperation based on mutual support and solidarity within the framework of international organizations, in particular the United Nations (UN) and the Non-Aligned Movement and stressed the importance of further strengthening interaction in multilateral fora.
