The 13th International Economic Summit: “Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2022”, held in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, attracted about 6,400 visitors from 64 countries.
A mega international economic gathering, of which Anadolu Agency is global communication partner, addressed the subjects of partnership finance, halal industry, export development, entrepreneurship, and investment.
During the three-day event, which aims to strengthen the relations between Russia and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), over 10 cooperation deals in various fields such as finance, health, and agriculture were sealed.
As part of the summit, participants from different regions of Russia and countries of the Islamic world also had the opportunity to discuss current issues at the Machine Building Cluster Forum, the Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of OIC Countries and the Forum of Young Diplomats of OIC Countries.
Financial sector problems were also discussed with representatives of government and business at the SberTalk — a multimodal offline discussion platform.
– “Russia Halal Expo 2022” exhibition
The summit also hosted the “Russia Halal Expo 2022” exhibition, which was held on an area of 10,000 square meters.
At the exhibition, which aims to promote and support the halal industry, companies from many sectors such as tourism, fashion and beauty, IT technologies, finance, as well as food, health, cosmetics and chemistry sectors took part.
The Kazan Summit also hosted the “World Halal Day” for the first time.
– “Modest Fashion Day” festival
At the “Modest Fashion Day” festival, held as part of the cultural program of the summit, experts discussed the expectations, economic opportunities in the field of “modest fashion” and steps to be taken to support talented designers.
As part of the festival, the collections of 12 designers from Russia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Spain were displayed at a fashion show.
The modest fashion presents economic opportunities around the globe for manufacturers, providing an alternative trend for populations of Muslim women and women that prefer modest clothes for various reasons.
