Afghan women demand protection for women’s rights in Kabul

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – AUGUST 17: Afghan women gathered in front of the Presidential Palace to demand protection of Afghan women’s rights in Kabul, Afghanistan on Tuesday.

The Taliban have taken over Afghanistan after capturing the capital Kabul on Sunday and are in the process of establishing their government that had been removed after US-led foreign forces occupied the country in 2001.
