KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – AUGUST 25: A view from Hamid Karzai International Airport after Russian planes landed on August 25, 2021 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Evacuation movements began at the airport after the Taliban took control of the capital, Kabul. 3 strategic transport aircraft of the Ilyushin Il-76MD type and an Ilyushin Il-62 passenger plane of the Russian Air Force landed at the airport in the morning hours. Some Russian officers also came to Kabul with the planes for evacuation procedures.
