Multiple explosions rock Ukraine’s capital Kyiv

Several explosions rocked Shevchenkivskyi district in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, the city’s mayor said Monday.

Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram that multiple blasts were heard in the center of Kyiv this morning.

Kyiv Oblast Governor Oleksiy Kuleba meanwhile urged residents of Kyiv to heed air alerts.

Local media outlets reported that the city was attacked with kamikaze drones, citing Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukraine’s presidential office.

On Oct. 10, Shevchenkivskyi district was hit by several explosions.
