Special reps of Uzbekistan, China discuss efforts regarding situation in Afghanistan

Special representatives of Uzbekistan and China, Ismatulla Irgashev and Yue Xiaoyong, discussed the efforts of the two countries in a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan, Report informs via Uzbek media.

They discussed the issue of providing humanitarian and other assistance to Afghanistan.

“It was indicated that without the development of a consolidated position of the world community in relation to the new authorities of Afghanistan, it is impossible to resolve the acute social and humanitarian crisis, as well as to promote the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the country,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Besides, the diplomats noted the importance of implementing various infrastructure projects in the energy, transport and logistics sectors in Afghanistan.
