Mongolia and China signed an agreement on the construction and operation of the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod cross-border railway line. The agreement aims to strengthen trade and transportation links between the two countries. The railway line will be built between Mongolia’s Gashuunsukhait border point and China’s Gantsmod border point. The project aims to boost economic cooperation by facilitating the flow of goods and services between the two countries. The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Transport and Development of Mongolia and the Ministry of Railways of China. During the signing ceremony, it was emphasized that the project will make significant contributions to regional development and increase trade. The Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod railway line will play a major role especially in the transportation of mining products. Mongolia’s rich mineral resources are expected to be transported to the Chinese market faster and more efficiently. This project is considered as an indicator of the strategic partnership between Mongolia and China. The two countries expressed their determination to expand cooperation with similar infrastructure projects in the future.
