The framework agreement on the establishment of private sector activities between the Kyrgyz Republic and the OPEC Fund for International Development was approved. The agreement paves the way for Kyrgyzstan to receive financing and technical assistance from OFID for development projects. The agreement will facilitate cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture and social projects. President Japarov emphasized that this step will play an important role in achieving the country’s sustainable development goals. OFID is an organization established by OPEC member countries that provides financial support to developing countries. Kyrgyzstan’s ratification of this agreement is interpreted as an indication that cooperation between the two sides will further strengthen.
