Head of Kyrgyz Cabinet and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan discussed cooperation issues

Head of the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alihan Smaiylov met to discuss issues of cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on the development of bilateral relations in trade, economy, transport, energy and cultural cooperation.

During the meeting, issues such as increasing cross-border trade between the two countries and implementing joint investment projects were also discussed. They also aimed to strengthen cooperation in the context of regional integration efforts. As important actors in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are working together for regional stability and development. The leaders of the two countries aim to further improve their relations with recently increased diplomatic contacts. The meeting also discussed practical steps such as improving transportation links between the two countries and facilitating trade transactions at border crossings. These steps are expected to increase bilateral trade volume.
