Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and regional cooperation issues.
During the talks, they discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields, increasing trade and investment opportunities, and mutual support on international platforms. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev noted that Kuwait is an important partner in the Middle East and emphasized the need to further strengthen relations between the two countries. “We want to expand our cooperation with Kuwait in the economic, trade and investment spheres. In addition, increasing educational and cultural exchanges are among our priorities.” Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Al-Sabah, on his part, emphasized the strategic importance of Kyrgyzstan in the Central Asian region and stated that the ties between the two countries should be further strengthened. “Kuwait is ready to develop its relations with Kyrgyzstan in all areas. We would like to seize opportunities for cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, investment and energy.”
Mutual support within the framework of international organizations and regional security issues were also discussed during the talks. The two ministers stressed the importance of cooperation in the fight against terrorism and ensuring regional stability.
