Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov paid an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. The visit was organized to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss regional cooperation issues.

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev welcomed his Turkmen counterpart at an official ceremony. The two ministers discussed ways to further develop political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, energy, transportation and education. Regional security and stability issues were also discussed. The two sides noted that they will evaluate existing cooperation projects and look for new opportunities for future joint initiatives. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted that the visit was of great importance for strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. In turn, the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister emphasized that cooperation with Turkmenistan will contribute to regional development and prosperity. Within the framework of the visit, the two countries are expected to sign new agreements and further develop existing cooperation mechanisms.
